Letter from the Head of School

Dear Friends of the South Bay,

Over the past twenty years an educational revolution has taken shape across America. This movement, inspired by parents and educators seeking a better alternative for their children, is a return to the classical model which has inspired the greatest minds in history. From Benjamin Franklin to Thomas Jefferson, from W.E.B. Du Bois to Martin Luther King Jr., a classical education has served as the foundation for much of the modern American experiment.

Aristotle, in the first line of his Metaphysics, famously said “All human beings desire to know.” This philosophical epiphany encapsulates our educational philosophy at South Bay Classical Academy. Our school will be one where the natural curiosity of children is brought to life through the vehicle of a content-rich, classical curriculum that will cultivate both intellectual virtue and character. A strong spirit of discovery and wonder will animate our halls each and every day, providing the students of the South Bay with a timeless education in rapidly changing times.

I am so excited to introduce this dynamic educational model to you as we build South Bay Classical Academy and invite you to learn how SBCA can be life-changing for your child.
